Sermon of Gnar

Sifting through this hell
Of debt and debris
To worship at a secret altar
Laid in concrete
Enchantments reframe mistakes made sacred
Dripping our blood, we consecrate
Lords of the street spin forth nightmares
Ripping through wax to annihilate
Upon this splintering staff
I summon thee
Abraxas rolling through chaos and order
In perfect balance, cursing thy name
Of they who would cast us out from the shadows
Fearing the fever, our pleasure, our pain
Across these blackened streaks
Obstructing walkways
These four wheels, my only sin
Until always
The loss of your temple, a shrine to reclaim
As your world crumbles, I feel no shame
Fallen cathedrals arch over thee
Blessing thy contours in urethane
Vengeance is rolling out from the shadows

In truth, I want nothing to do with this place
In service to others, there's no escape
Entitlement begs their silent claim
That I don't belong here anyway
Carve kind words across finish lines
With the finest care to take what's mine
Staking off space with the sharpest glare
Because there is no room for me there
Standing aside, still in the way
Conviction yields to accommodate
No trust in the space that each of us take
As false judgment extinguishes grace
A wound that won't heal right away
With control lost to collective gain
May lubricate the rusted sheath
And birth the bladestrike underneath
Power drained, reclaimed as one
To see this order come undone
Reflection of grace, lost, now seen
With Intention expanding our range
To uncover sanctuary
Though maps may vary on subject terrain

40 hours, weak after week
Failing order of mind and body
Undervalued and underpaid
My resignation is underway
Recognize you will never
Be good enough
For this rotten system
(yeah) We've had enough
yeeaaahhhh
Reposition myself as a curse
Understand that we've been coerced
To refuse what each day could bring
In service of no one and nothing
This system could never
Be good enough
Not for any of us
(no) We've had enough
nooooooo
There are ways more deserving
Than this occupation of selves
Break away from a life of serving
Recast your deed as the spell
